The $2,000 Small Business Website Package is designed to give early-stage businesses a clear, professional foundation without overcomplicating the process.
Our website projects are built with Squarespace, an easy-to-manage platform that allows your website to easily grow with your business and for you to feel in control. It includes up to five pages. These are usually Home, About, Services, Contact, and One More.
We fully customize a professionally designed template including changes to layout, structure, colors, fonts, and content placement to reflect your brand and your business.
Every design will be designed with mobile-first viewing in mind. It will function smoothly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
We will provide basic SEO setup in accordance with best practices. This includes page titles, image optimization, and search visibility settings.
We will make sure people can find you. Your contact page will include an easy way for people to reach you. We’ll build this with an eye towards future use and ongoing marketing.
Two rounds of revisions will be included – this means you’ll have time to provide early feedback once we have created a rough draft and you’ll have a second chance to get more specific before the website is launched.
We will provide basic training to help you understand how to make simple edits to your website like content changes as you need to. Luckily Squarespace makes it easy for novice’s to learn how to use their site and there are tons of online resources available to assist if you decide not to engage with our no-stress monthly maintenance plan.
Our website package does not include development on any other platform than Squarespace. We are quite capable of working in WordPress, Drupal, or with membership management tools but these must be addressed as separate projects.
Ongoing maintenance is not included unless you choose to include this service for $100/month. You must pay the costs for hosting and domain registration charges.
Let’s do it! We can talk about what that means – usually depending upon the complexity of the page, it would just be a small additional charge.
That sounds fun! Squarespace makes it easy for us to keep things flexible and make changes in the future. By then you might be comfortable adding it yourself or you can ask us to do it for you. Either way, you’re covered!
Building a website takes about 3-5 weeks from start to launch, depending upon your availability for planning conversations, understanding of your approach, and branding development.
We will talk about your objectives to understand how to frame out the website, propose an outline with mapping and internal links. We’ll talk about style preferences, colors you like, and brand strategy. Note, this simple website design project does not include brand development.
We’ll need to meet with you for a few hours before we get started. We’ll have two rounds of revisions based on your feedback, and then we’ll launch the website. Your involvement will be limited to providing design feedback and content elements.
We’ll include two revisions of the site before we launch. This means we’ll approach you with a first draft, obtain your feedback and incorporate it into the revised website. Once that’s complete, we will revisit it once more and take your final recommendations into account as we prepare for launch.
Yes. Within reason. If you do not supply the website content, we will draft sample content that you will likely need to edit to better reflect your marketing approach.
You do. All websites, content, and marketing assets created during our work together belong to you. If we ever part ways you will have the login details and basic training you need to continue to use the tool in the future.
You will! You are the owner in Squarespace. We will be your trusted administrators but the asset that we create will be yours.
You do. You will be the website owner and will pay the small monthly fee for hosting, usually $16-25/month.
The domain may be registered with the provider of your choice, including Squarespace. You will pay this annual domain fee.
Our no-worries monthly maintenance contract includes Squarespace updates, security monitoring, 2 hours of minor website edits, and ongoing email support.
Minor edits include things like text updates, image changes, pricing changes, blog post updates, and other small changes. It does not include new pages, site redesigns, marketing strategy, or content rewrites.
Additional time will be billed at $100/hour.
Of course! We recognize that your needs change and evolve over time. We’ll be there for you when that time comes and we’ll talk about what it means, if there will be additional costs for the change, and how we can move forward together.
We will transfer full ownership and administration of the plan to you. You will make updates and provide ongoing security and maintenance for the website.
If you decide to cancel the maintenance plan, you still own the website. We will transfer ownership in Squarespace and remove our administrative access. We will no longer be able to make updates to the website or answer questions until we have made alternative arrangements.
